Fletcher

Timecode Programming / MA2 Operator
Project Overview
Setting out on her debut tour, Fletcher opted for a fabricated set, made to look like a rundown New York City streetscape. Lighting this tour became a combination of the flashy eye-candy look many pop artists have today, as well as ensuring the fabricated set was theatrically lit, allowing the story of the architecture on stage to tell Fletcher's story.
My Contributions
In programming the ground package for the tour, I wanted to create a balance between the slow and intimate moments in the artist's music, allowing the flashiness of the lights to punch through on important and more upbeat sections of the show.

As the MA2 operator, I wanted to ensure the mood lighting on the artist was clean and focused on her at all times. With a set that afforded Fletcher space on stage to move around on, as well as a second level to the fabricated set she could walk around on top of, ensuring the artist was well lit at all times was a challenge. From this I focused the artist key lights to nine zones on stage, that I could recall at any point throughout the show, ensuring light was on Fletcher at all points throughout each song.
